So I played a nice course today here in the Puget Sound region... the Home Course in Lacey, Washington... which is a very nice new course south of Seattle and the home course of the Washington Golf Association. Anyway - it's a tough course, and really well conditioned... and if you haven't played it, a bit difficult. The slope is 124 from the "white" tees.
anyway - I had a good day there, my first time around the track - but had the experience of playing with a guy who is also a 14 index who wound up shooting 4 over par for the round. I shot a respectable 14 over - almost matching my index (14.9 today)... but wow - The guy goes lights out for the round - makes 4 birdies... Meanwhile - I'm 4 putting a diabolical green that I hit in 2 and this guy goes crazy for the round. I mean is golf a pisser or what?
Playing with 3 other guys shooting 94 I would have felt like Tiger Woods but as it is I feel like Colin Montgomerie at the US Open, I do!
Until next time...

Are you a bogey golfer?
I am always searching for just that little tip... that one idea that will allow me to play golf to my "potential", that will let me break the barrier of 80 more often than never. Are you a bogey golfer?
